A great next step is the Alpha Course!

If you are looking to grow in

• Fellowship,
• Outreach,
• Read and Study God’s Word, or
• Discussion with God in Prayer,

then Alpha is for you!

If you got something from your experience in a Grow Forward small group and are looking for a way to continue that, but not sure you are ready to make a long term commitment to a small group, then Alpha may be just the right opportunity for you. It is a 15 week course that begins January 10th and concludes April 24th, with time off for Valentines Day and Easter. Alpha meets on Thursday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

We share an informal meal together from 6:00 – 6:45 pm. (If you are a few minutes late, you will still have time to eat.) We then go to the Chapel for a brief time of worship, followed by a video from the incomparable Nicki Gumble. You won’t want to miss him! Afterward we go in small groups of 8 – 12 to separate rooms for a time of discussion and sharing in a supportive small group environment. Child care is always provided!

We address the questions of life together. Worship together. Reach out to our friends not in the church. Learn about the Bible. We even learn about prayer and talking with God. What’s more, we learn on our Saturday Morning Away on March 8th at Camp Good News that we have someone that intercedes for us with God.

This is our 14th Alpha Course, and it just keeps getting better. It is the natural follow-up to Grow Forward for those who have not yet experienced Alpha. For those who have and just can’t get enough, we have lots of opportunities for you to stay involved as small group helpers and leaders.

Food, Fun, Fellowship & New Friends!

Is Christianity, boring, untrue and irrelevant?” This is the very first question the Alpha Course tackles. Whether you are a long time believer in Jesus Christ, a confirmed non-believer, a skeptic, or just never though about it much, this opportunity is designed just for you. Free Childcare is always provided!

When:   Thursdays 6:00 -8:30 pm, Jan 10 – April 24 + Holy Spirit Morning Away, Saturday, March 8 at Camp Good News

Where: In the Church Fellowship area What: A fellowship time for those wanting to connect with others while exploring your own spirituality

Why:

• to make new friends,
• to find a sense of belonging,
• to learn how to deal with the questions of life, and
• to explore the basics of the Christian faith.

A Typical Evening:

• 6:00 pm - Gather for a casual dinner and time of fellowship
• 6:45 pm – Move to a brief time of praise and worship
• 7:00 pm – Video presentation by the incomparable Nicki Gumbel
• 7:45 pm – Small group discussion time 8:30 pm - Adjourn
