 Communion

Do this in memory of me.”      Luke 2:19

We serve Communion on the first Sunday of the month. On the Saturday before communion discuss these

questions as a family.

Why do we take communion?

to remember that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross so that our sins can be forgiven

What does the bread remind us of?

Jesus’ body which was given for us

What does the juice remind us of?

Jesus’ blood which was given so our sins could be forgiven

What should we do to be ready to take communion?

1.         think of the things we have done wrong

2.         tell God we are sorry for doing them

3.         ask God to forgive us for doing those things

4.         forgive anyone that we are mad at

You can read about The Last Supper at one of these references in your bible:

Matthew 26:20-29

Mark 14:12-26

Luke 22:7-23

1Corinthians 11:17-34
