Parish Nursing at Crossroads

A Parish Nurse is a person of faith and an experienced registered nurse who has received specialized training for parish nursing.  As a  member of the church staff, the Parish Nurse promotes wellness within the congregation and strengthens the awareness of the connection between health and faith. 

Some of her responsibilites include:

• working closely with the pastors regarding pastoral care of the congregation
• providing wellness programs 
• providing private consultations regarding health issues
• making hospital, nursing home, and home visits to monitor health status and provide emotional and spiritual support
• guiding members of the congregation to use community resources
• working with the Health and Wellness team to meet the needs of the congregation
• coordinating the older adult ministry (M and M's)
